My beliefs are mine. They are my personal preferences. My religious views are mine. I do not try to impose my beliefs on anybody, and I expect the same from others.
To my Christian friends: Yes, I do not go to church every Sunday. I do not follow the religious customs. I believe in "being kind to others" and being honest and following my principles. I believe that loving fellow human beings despite cast, creed, color etc etc is better than any other forms of worship. 'Not going to church' is not degrading me like taking drugs or committing a crime!
To my religious friends from other religions : No, I am not responsible for the Pentecost pastor's stupidity or the Catholic priests' faults. I despise them as much as you do. I despise any forms of religious stupidity. Yet I respond sometimes, when I see you targeting a specific religion, being blind to the faults of yours!
To my atheist friends : Yes, I do believe in God. For some reason, when I am in my darkest and deepest lonely places, when I do not see any light in the tunnel, that belief helps me keep going. So I love to believe that there is a loving God, to love me, despite all my defects, the defects which sometimes make me unworthy of other peoples' affection. And yes, at times I like to go to church and pray because it gives me peace of mind. If that makes me naive, fine. But I am as rational as you are!
(God, now I feel like I do not belong anywhere. I am from an alien religion or something! May be I should start one :D )
BUT... Above all, I despise those who propagate hatred to other religions and mock others' beliefs. You follow your stupidity, let them follow theirs! Live and let live! Stop spreading hatred based on religion! Every religion has some or other form of stupid traditions.
